ELOS Laser

ELOS Laser – An Overview

ELOS (Electro Optical Synergy) is a comprehensive laser hair removal application that’s a combination of radio frequency and laser light. Safe and effective, one of its primary benefits is that ELOS can be used for women with darker tones as well as those with lighter colors. ELOS targets pigment inside hair follicles and destroys it.

What To Expect

ELOS relies on lower overall energy levels for positive results and optimal safety. Since hair growth typically occurs in cycles, approximately six treatments are usually needed to achieve permanent hair removal for many patients. This can vary depending on hair color, skin type, and the area of the body receiving the treatment. Lighter hair will usually require more. Fortunately even large sections of the body, such as the legs, can be treated fairly quickly because the ELOS laser scans the skin instead of just a single hair at a time.

ELOS laser treatment does not cause much discomfort for most patients. About 30 minutes before the ELSO laser application starts, a numbing cream is sometimes applied for treatment of sensitive areas. Based on the size of the area slated for treatment, the process can take anywhere from just a few minutes to one hour. The sensation is comparable to the mild “snap” of a rubber band against the skin. With no downtime needed, you can return to your daily routine right away. For some patients, there may be some redness on the treated areas which fades within 48 hours.

Candidates for ELOS Laser Treatment

This effective approach to hair removal is well suited for generally anyone who would like smoother skin. It can be applied to just about any area of the body and doesn’t cause the irritation that can result from some other hair removal methods.
