What is Latisse?
The makers of Botox and Juvéderm have created a new product that is meant to elongate, darken, and thicken one’s own lashes.
Patients who are interested in enhancing their eyelashes may now do so with Latisse.
This new prescriptive treatment can be obtained after an evaluation by our doctor at the Women’s Institute of Cosmetic & Laser Surgery
What are the Latisse Results?
One of the most attractive factors of this product is that it can be administered by the patient once a day at home.
Patients experiencing hypotrichosis – inadequate or not enough eyelashes – no longer have to hassle with messy extension mascaras or tricky false lashes.
Results are seen in as early as eight weeks, with full results at 16 weeks. However, it is important to note that if the product is stopped, lashes will return to their normal state over time.
The most common side effects of Latisse are red, itchy eyes, but this will subside after becoming accustomed to the application process.
If you experience any complications when using Latisse, be sure to contact a physician for medical attention.
