Exercise After Lipo Surgery

Exercise After Lipo Surgery – The choice to have liposuction is a very effective way to improve the visual appeal and contours of your body. The majority of women who have the popular procedure often report an increase in self-confidence after having liposuction. If you’re considering liposuction, be aware that sustaining the results takes a dedication to healthy fitness routines.

Exercise After Lipo Surgery

Right after having liposuction, it is recommended that you avoid strenuous exercise to recover. Daily walks, however, are typically a good practice in the days after the procedure. This can aid in recovery and simply help you to feel “back to normal.”

Once you have completely healed from the liposuction procedure, your cosmetic surgeon will typically recommend that you resume a regular fitness program. Generally this would be about two or three weeks after having liposuction.

Here we present three basic abdominal training exercises to include in your workout routine that will help your maintain your post-liposuction body shape:

* Stability Ball Crunch – Lie with your back on the fitness ball and bend your knees at a 90-degree angle. With your feet shoulder distance apart and firmly planted on the floor raise your body up until your upper back is off the fitness ball. Slowly lower your body back down. Repeat for 10 reps.

* Front Plank – While balancing on your forearms in a “push-up” position, support your body weight with your forearms and toes while squeezing your body’s core. Sustain this position for 20 seconds. As your strength improves increase the time gradually.

* Russian Twist – Sit in a straight up posture with your feet planted on the floor. Hold a fitness ball or light weight straight in front of you and – with your arms extended – squeeze your abdominal muscles and twist from right to left. Repeat this exercise 10 times and increase the weight you progress.
